Overview:Work for a leading medical industry as their Director of Human Resources.
The Human Resource Director reports directly to the CEO.
The Director guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for this medical company, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Job Summary:Provides leadership, guidance, and support in developing, implementing and reviewing Human Resource and leadership functions.Assists the Starling leadership team in achieving their operational and strategic goals.Applies the Starling values of Patient-Focused, Accountable, Compassionate, Collaborative, and Independent to own work and holds others accountable for same.Provides enthusiastic, encouraging, and professional HR leadership and mentorship with managers, HR staff, and all staff.Is committed to providing our internal customers with the same individual care and concern that they provide to patients.Develops and implements Human Resource policies and procedures, and reflects these in the Employee Handbook and Benefits Guide edits.Consults with, guides and counsels providers, managers, employees and HR staff in risk management, employment, compensation, benefits, performance, and other matters.Serves as an Administrator for Starlings 401(k) and attends 401(k) Committee meetings.Consults with broker and Benefits Committee to analyze and plan Employee Benefits.With Recruiting Specialist, oversees Provider recruitment, credentialing, immigration visa process, and staffing.Oversees and provide guidance for compensation structure and performance management.With HR Manager, oversees all employee counseling, layoffs, and discharges.
Consults with Employment Attorney as needed.Identifies and benchmarks employment trends such as compensation, average merit increases, turnover, comparing and benchmarking with internal data.Works within federal and state labor and employment laws, FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, COBRA and other regulatory laws as required.Identifies and assists with training needs.
Reviews and approves tuition reimbursement requests.Leads and mentors HR staff by providing educational opportunities and information on HR matters.Meets regularly with HR staff individually and in team meetings.Hours:Monday-Friday, 1st shiftIn person in Rocky Hill, CTQualifications:Three years of HR Manager or Director experience preferred.Seven or more years of HR experience preferred.SHRM or PHR (HR Certifications) preferred.Bachelors degree preferred.Excellent computer and math skills.Excellent professional communication skills.Ability to work effectively and professionally at all times.Ability to lead a team.Ability to set priorities, be organized and be a self-starter.Ability to be friendly, empathetic and an adept communicator.Compensation is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado.Other locations may be subject to variances basedon locations-related factors.
