Traveling Data Technician

Distribution Center and Fulfillment Center technicians needed! Wachter has an immediate need for Traveling Data Technicians to work on large construction and remodel projects in commercial warehouses and industrial sites up to 2,000,000 sq ft. We are looking for a reliable technician with diverse knowledge of the telecommunications cabling industry. Skill Set:

• Ability to read and comprehend blue prints.
• Experience leading crews, communicating with Project Managers and Clients.
• Multiple termination types for multi-mode and single mode fibers.
• 24v and 70v paging systems.
• Cat6 through Cat6A data cabling.
• Can neatly dress and terminate large bundles of cables inside IDF and MDF cabinets.

Requirements:

• Extensive travel nationwide. Per Diem is provided.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA). Please list certifications if any. 
• Manufacture certifications or a good knowledge of industry products. List Certifications if any. 
• Must be comfortable working unsupervised and/or with teams of 4 to 20 other technicians.
• Boom lift experience. 40 plus feet! 

Project Details:

• Duration-Each project could last 1-6 months. Once completed you would move on to the next location.
• Typical work week could be approximately 50-60 hours a week depending on job site requirements and deadlines.
