Project Superintendent (Traveling)

Join the team today!Position Overview : The traveling superintendent is responsible for jobsite/field crew safety compliance ensuring adherence to all safety policies and programs established by the company.

He or she is responsible for protecting and promoting the interests and values of the company in all matters and to take actions as required to satisfy responsibilities.

This position primarily leads the field crew, maintains daily work logs and initiates all jobsite meetings.

In addition to daily oversight of operations , hands on construction includes installation of anti-terrorism barrier systems, concrete formwork and access control systems .Responsibilities :+ Directs and verifies compliance with company safety policy and programs.+ Ability to read and comprehend instructions, construction drawings, specifications, and operating maintenance manuals.+ Ability to write correspondence, add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure.+ Procurement of tools and materials for the project.+ Confers with supervisory, engineering personnel, inspectors and suppliers of materials to resolve potential construction problems.+ Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.+ Prepares or reviews daily reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.+ Coordinates daily work activities, job site organization, scheduling of work activities and manpower needed.+ Assists with general labor duties as needed, which may include barrier/equipment installations , concrete form work , etc.+ Assists with forklift operation, as needed.+ Develop final punch list and ensures all project tasks are completed to quality standards.+ Ability to work well with others in a group, one on one setting with customers, clients or other employees within the organization.+ Direct and train field staff to ensure continued development by utilizing consistent performance feedback, varying assignments as needed and promoting positive project morale.Qualifications : High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred and 5 + years of related construction experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.*Standard Driver’s License is required.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders.
