Under the direction of the Day Center Manager, the Housekeeping team member provides for the cleanliness and sanitation at WelbeHealth by ensuring all areas remain clean and sanitary at all times.
The Housekeeping team member works collaboratively and communicates effectively with participants and all members of the team to promote the WelbeHealth values, culture, and mission.
What you’ll do:
Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing.
Ensure all areas of the center are cared for, appropriately disinfected and inspected according to standards.
Notify Day Center Manager on any supply needs, equipment or facility damages and potential safety issues.
Ensure showers and restrooms are maintained and dispensers are properly refilled and stocked.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the day center after meals.
Maintain and update appropriate housekeeping logs.
Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
Follow appropriate infection control protocols at all times.
Proper use of cleaning chemicals according to label directions.
Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all company procedures and information about: team members, participants, and families.
Follow WelbeHealth policies and procedures and participate in any required Quality Improvement activities, staff training and meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Your qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Minimum of one year experience with housekeeping and/or environmental aide type work.
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with staff, elderly, public and private agencies, governmental officials, providers of services, and peers.
Energetic, well organized, dependable, flexible, and resourceful.
Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to follow directions from supervisor and communicate needs effectively
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Experience and competency working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Bilingual English/Spanish, a plus.
