– POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning resident rooms and other interior and exterior facility areas and assisting in maintaining a clean and attractive environment for the residents.

The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures. Duties & ResponsibilitiesReports to work as scheduled.

Attends all mandatory in-services by employee’s anniversary dateComplies with all facility policies and proceduresActs appropriately under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping and acts as a part of the interdisciplinary teamCleans and straightens (including vacuuming, wiping, moping, polishing, etc.) rooms, offices, and common areas; polish and remove items; ensure resident’s rooms are safe, comfortable and maintained in an attractive mannerDemonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet facility needsCleans and sanitizes areas of responsibility according to facility policy and procedureMoves and arranges residents furniture and equipment as directed by the supervisorCleans residents dining areas at the completion of meal service and adheres to weekly cleaning schedule of the dining areaCleans and sanitizes resident bathrooms and common bath areasCleans and maintains windows and wall in resident rooms and common areasComplies with weekly departmental cleaning scheduleAdheres to all cleaning chemical hazards as indicated on suppliesObserves rules of sanitation at all timesDemonstrates knowledge of and complies with the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program when performing work functionsOther duties as assigned by Director of Housekeeping EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Possess a high school diploma or sufficient knowledge and education to perform job functionsUnderstand and carry out oral and written directionsIs capable of setting work priorities and working independently in the absence of supervisionMust be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks requiredMust be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
