Hotel Night Auditor (9pm – 7am)

NIGHT AUDIT: The Night Auditor oversees the nightly operations. Position is responsible to handle all of the required front desk agent tasks including check-in and check-outs as well as well as to record, process, and analyze the day’s closing figures and to complete all required reports and ensure that the day’s credit transactions are in balance. Attend to guest needs, including but not limited to, registration, checkout, cashiering, and making guest wake up calls. Adhering to all required Best Western and management company standards.

A hotel front desk sales associate represents the first point of contact with guests and handles all stages of a guest’s stay. A typical day as a hotel front desk sales associate answering phone calls, involves, registering/booking guests in and out of their rooms, while accommodating any special requests. resolving stay experience issues if arise, keeping desk and lobby presentable to guest etc.

Position Summary: The Guest Service Associatesis responsible for taking reservations, greeting and registering guests, providing outstanding guest service during their stay, and settling the guest’s account upon completion of their stay.

The Duties & Responsibilities:

Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests. Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity. Promptly and effectively deals with guest requests and complaints. Answers and routes calls as appropriate; takes guest messages with accuracy.

Responsible for cash drawer contents and transactions during the shift. Maintains accurate records including cash flows, registration cards, reservation cards, and property walks. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and travel directions. Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager. Offers and properly handles requests for wake-up calls. Records pertinent guest information in the pass on the log. May assist in replenishing continental breakfast as needed and keeping breakfast area clean. Ensures common area/lobby is clean. Performs laundry functions as directed. Communicating with hotel staff on the status of guest rooms Other duties as assigned.

50% Sales Associate at desk

30% Auditing all shifts and reports

20% Assigned by management

Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written.

Skill in the use of computers and related software applications.

Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time.

May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need.

Primary Tasks/Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining all nightly reports, including morning reports to inform hotel management of overnight activities/incidents
  • Performs all audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel, on a daily basis
  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival. Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, address, and credit information
  • Provide exceptional guest service at all times
  • Check in and check out guests
  • Ensure all security protocols are followed as well as departmental and company procedures
  • Promote the Loyalty Program and provide recognition and benefits to all present members
  • Answer phones, transfer calls and handle all guest requests efficiently
  • Correctly handling cash transactions and balancing a cash drawer
  • Correctly maintain and balance the Market inventory
  • Ensure all Front Office quality standards are complied with and that policies and procedures are consistently applied
  • Have a working knowledge of local and regional area
  • Be aware of all emergency related procedures and protocols. Use good and sound judgement at all times. Ensure that hotel management is immediately alerted to any life/safety issues, emergency situations, extreme and sensitive guest issues etc.
  • All other tasks and duties as may be assigned and required to ensure smooth operations during the overnight shift

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
