At Celeste we are currently looking for energetic fun team members to add to our team for morning, evening, and nightshifts .
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize, confirm and process guest check-ins/check-outs and provide assistance in the event of any changes
- Secure payment, verifying and adjusting billing as needed
- Provide guests with room and hotel information, directions, amenities and local interests
- Run daily reports, reviewing to see what needs to be communicated to the next shift’s staff
- Complete cashier and closing reports, counting the bank at the end of each shift securely
- Accept and record wake-up calls, delivering to the right department
- Communicate any emergency, lost item or theft to proper security staff and/or authorities
- Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Record guest preferences in the system.
- Check guests out, including resolving any late or disputed charges.
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures.
- Issue, control and release guest safe-deposit boxes in line with hotel procedures.
- Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.
- Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines.
- Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incidents, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty.
- May routinely book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups that are requested either by phone or from within the hotel; process cancellations, revisions, and information updates on charges.
- Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
- Perform other duties as assigned including guest room tours, concierge services, special guest requests, etc.
- Work under general supervision, with a high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- One year front desk/guest service experience, preferred
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Exhibit computer skills to include MS Office, Cash/Credit Card handling
- Exercise excellent communication, verbal and written, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills.
- Strong communication skills when interacting with guests and employees
- Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/information updates, etc.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently standing up behind the desk and front office areas
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
