We are currently seeking Front Desk Agents for our overnight shift.
Front Desk Agents assist the Head of Hospitality Services by overseeing the responsibilities of the Front Office staff.
Ensuring that the guests are being serviced in a professional and competent manner.Essential Duties: Communicates with the Engineering Department regarding any maintenance requests from the guests. Ensures tickets/events in Nuvola are closed in efficient time. Checks AM and PM discrepancy reports. Has complete working knowledge of software system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often. Has full understanding of software system and assists with reservations. Can perform all of the front desk functions to include Guest Service Aide, PBX Operator, Front Desk Clerk, Reservationists, Concierge, etc. Assists Front Desk Clerks by checking guests in and out of the hotel. Knows how and where to post all charges. Receives money from guests for payment of hotel charges and makes correct change. Handles credit cards received from the guests for payment of hotel charges Handles paid outs, due backs and check refunds. Knows all of the room rates and blackout dates Gives directions to hotel facilities, rooms and local area attractions. Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules. Ensures proper staffing levels of Front Desk Clerks by assisting Front Office Manager in preparing weekly schedule and maintaining proper documentation (signInSheets, disciplinary procedures, reviews, etc.) Assists the Front Office Manager by handling special requests, room blocking and unusual circumstances. Communicates with the Housekeeping Department regarding guest rooms and requests. Trains all new Front Desk Clerks.Job Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills. Must be able to carry 10 lbs. Commitment to superior customer service and excellent customer service skills. Proven ability to influence a team and achieve results. Flexibility and creative problem-solving ability. Must know Opera/Nuvola/Saflok Strong initiative and self-motivation. Fluency in job related English both verbal and non-verbal. An appreciation and respect for the diversity of all individuals in the workplace. Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent.
A bachelor’s degree in hotel management or hospitality is preferred. Supervisors should have a working knowledge of day-to-day hotel office procedures and previous hotel department supervisory experience.
