VP BioPharma Sales

This is a Full-time position in New York, NY posted April 18, 2021.

How will this role have an impact The Vice President (VP), Sales Leader of Biopharma will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and will join Company at a critical point in the company ‘s growth.

With an overall focus on growth and operational success of the evolving Biopharma services business line, this position will require liaising with deep industry connections, prospecting biopharmaceutical clients and working closely with Company ‘s Biopharma strategic partners to shape and drive deal closure, revenue growth and market expansion.

This position will lead the BioPharma commercial strategy refinement by leveraging their extensive understanding of the BioPharma industry, macro economic dynamics and market opportunities for Company Solutions.

This position also includes identifying and executing on new market opportunities and partnerships with top-tier biotech and pharmaceutical organizations, specialty pharmacies, patient access hubs and clinical research trial entities.

This position will also synthesize input and feedback from current and prospective clients to create and execute a compelling value proposition for multiple stakeholders across the Biopharma industry.

This information is critical to continued development of the product roadmap in response to customer needs and market feedback.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of launch planning for biopharma, from mapping out the customer journey, to distribution models, to creating a world-class patient and prescriber experience and resolving points of friction.

It is critical for this leader to possess a strong understanding of market access (i.e., distribution models), prescriber-payer mix/payer dynamics, and market drivers of the current Biopharma environment.

This candidate will have demonstrated success in driving innovation within the pharmaceutical market, and combining sales and pharmaceutical market strategy to create a new client base for Company.

This role will report to our Chief Revenue Officer.

What will you do
Identify, build and drive a robust and active pipeline of target clients and opportunities that lead to high-value partnership agreements that drive revenue growth Build and lead a small team of Sales Executive in alignment with the Company Growth culture: World class talent, client centric focus, teamwork and performance management.

Track all sales activities (daily, weekly, monthly and YTD) of the growing pipeline methodically with Salesforce and other tools, as needed from lead generation to presentation, follow-ups, proposals and contracting Solicit and articulate Biopharma ‘s value proposition, product offerings, capabilities and competencies Lead all negotiations, conduct due diligence and drive deals from discovery through contract execution Develop and execute against targeted action plans to drive performance and growth Attain recognition with clients through an experience built on trust and credibility, and within Company as a subject matter expert (SME) Participate in Voice of the Customer (VOC) activities to help gather actionable feedback from customers Drive development of deal-specific work plans by project management and create key financial terms and budgets for new partnership projects in collaboration with Finance, Technology/R&D and Operations Contribute to the shape of the Biopharma roadmap by conveying sales insights, market intel, and current/prospective client feedback to Product, Technology/R&D, Operations and Go-to-Market enablement Implement KPIs and sales metrics to shorten the sales cycle and build uniformity and efficiency into the sales process, as well as effectively and accurately forecasting sales and revenue growth Contribute to content and approach for Product Marketing, building brand awareness and enabling the sales process Significantly scale current BioPharma business while working with Product to expand solution capabilities that we can sell to BioPharma client base.

We are looking for someone with:
BA required; MBA preferred Minimum of 8-10 years proven leadership skills as a sales/business development executive or consulting executive within the biopharma vertical (i.e.

pharma & biotech manufacturers, payers & PBMs, specialty pharmacies, wholesalers, distributors, patient service providers & hubs) Proven leadership skills in a matrixed environment Proven ability to effectively influence executive or C-suite team members Effective talent management, coaching, persuasion and mentoring skills Proven strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop and refine commercial strategies Demonstrated track record of driving patient access strategies, product distribution and commercial optimization Proven and verifiable history of negotiating and closing a wide range of business agreements to increase revenues and meet department and company goals Competitive trailblazing mentality focused on building trust and credibility with clients and enabling Client ‘s recognition of the unique value Company solutions bring Preferred but not required knowledge of Anti-Kickback Statute, Beneficiary Inducement and other compliance risks surrounding manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs and government patients Strong commercial understanding of the pharma marketplace , and an understanding of the processes of selling and implementing disruptive tech-enabled services at large, complex pharmaceutical organizations and their supporting vendors Deep experience selling into the pharmaceutical community; demonstrated success selling multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts Entrepreneurial mindset and drive; strong sense of urgency, taking initiative, and ability to anticipate possible obstacles and proactively problem solve Highly adaptable to change, able to quickly pivot and respond to new market information in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal, teamwork/collaboration skills with proven ability to build peer relationships and effective teams Ability to work in a high pressure/time-sensitive matrixed environment Deep passion for healthcare and a strong alignment with Company Health ‘s mission and values
