The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including advanced cardiology, neurology, surgery and more.Job Description:Responsible for the collection of laboratory specimens according to laboratory protocol and procedure and acts as an assistant for laboratory techs as needed and/or directed with respect to specified CLIA waived testing.
Applicant will require moderate supervision and General Supervisor must be on site.QualificationsJob Requirements: Education:High school graduate or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88; current Nevada licensure/certification for Laboratory AssistantExperience:Two years experience as a Phlebotomist requiredLicense/Certification:Nevada State Licensure as Laboratory Assistant is required.
Certification from ASCP or equivalent is preferred.Technical Skills:Certification from ASCP, or equivalent with Nevada Board approved program and demonstrate the ability to collect various types of patient specimensOther:Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient care appropriately (specific age competent).
Must possess appropriate people skills, organization and attention to detail.
Must desire to act as a resource and provide assistance as required.
