Our Neuro ICU is a multi-state referral center, caring for the most critical neurological illness in the Rocky Mountain Region.

We care for patients who are experiencing surgical intervention for brain tumors, hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, traumatic injuries to the brain and spine, phase II seizure mapping, and other neurological disease processes requiring the highest level of neurological monitoring.

We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of neurological monitoring, detecting the slightest cues of neurological decline, early intervention, with a multi-disciplinary team approach to return each individual patient to their greatest neurological function.

Specific Neuro ICU accomplishments: * 5 time Magnet designation by the AACN * Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification * 3rd Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit in the nation Summary Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Job duties * Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

* Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

* Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

* Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.

May precept student nurses and new hires.

Requirements * Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years of experience.

* 6 months nursing experience.

* State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

* BLS * ACLS Preferred * Bachelor’s degree in nursing * 6 months of ICU experience strongly preferred Going beyond quality requires the perfect balance of talent, integrity, drive and intellectual curiosity.
