Roots And Harmo ny Behavioral Health care are now part of the Transformations Care Network We are dedicated to providing outstanding behavioral health care services to the communities we serve as such we are now looking to hire new clinicians at clinics across Pennsylvania and West Virginia.Nurse Practitioner PositionSummary:The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for extending staff psychiatrist services by providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication treatment and psychotherapy to patients while providing exceptional customer service to make sure the highest quality work standards are achieved and maintained according to practice policies and procedures. Working as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties andResponsibilities:Provide all aspects of patient psychiatric healthcare, including diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of psychiatric and common medical conditions. Provide direct psychiatric services through initial comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, including prescribing and administering medications as needed Maintain complete, accurate, timely and confidential documents in appropriate electronic health records for review by a supervisor Provide consultation and emergency interventions as necessary Possibly perform patient mapping for our Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) device (if regulations permit) Focus primarily on mental health populations and establish therapeutic relationships with these patients to add psychiatric expertise to the medical management plan and mitigate any negative impact that behavioral conditions can have on a patient’s overall health and well-being Handle psychiatric emergencies as needed, including being on-call Communicate with the patient’s primary care provider regarding changes in conditions or potential medication changes Collaborate with the supervisor in regards to particularly complex behavioral/mental conditions. Maintain partnership with supervisor through regular communication, care plan development, medication management, etc. Provide assistance with ROOTS (Recovery-based Outpatient Opioid Treatment Services) which is a clinic created specifically for the treatment of opioid (narcotic pain pills or heroin) addiction Participate in quality assurance, educational, and professional meetings as assigned Actively participate in regular multi-disciplinary team meetings to assure behavioral health issues considered and addressed for all high risk patients Performs additional duties as needed up to and including the willingness to be flexible by possibly traveling to other facilities and adjusting your schedule to meet patient needs MinimumQualifications:Master’s degree or higher in Advanced Practice Registered Nursing (APRN) Current state Nurse Practitioner license, valid and in good standing Nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) with prescriptive authority Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology Understand and comply with HIPAA Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team especially in stressful situations Ability to work well with a team Ability to provide telehealth Knowledge of developmental and health issues of emerging adults Ability to maintain professionalism with patients and teammates in a mental health settingSDL2017
