Function: Provide individual, group, and family therapy to residents and their families.
Plan and coordinate treatment services in conjunction with individual treatment goals and objectives.
Review care and treatment of residents.
Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team and communicate with milieu and Clinical Case Managers regarding resident issues.
Complete assessments and create therapy objectives on treatment plans.
Participate in treatment planning meetings, performance improvement activities, and safety practices.
Serves as a member of the organization that welcomes, engages and serves individuals with complex needs.
Responsibilities:
1.
Provide individual and family therapy to residents and families.
2.
Coordinate and document individual, group, and family therapy services for residents and families.
3.
Help to implement and maintain an environment of safety and quality.
4.
Document therapy updates on resident restriction lists.
5.
Provide additional treatment services, as directed.
6.
Serve as a role model for all staff.
Maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and residents.
7.
Participate in individualized treatment planning for all residents and their families.
8.
Coordinate activities closely with the milieu.
9.
Respond promptly to pager messages, as required.
10.
Complete a family and cultural/spiritual assessment on each resident within given guidelines.
11.
Provide treatment consultation to staff when necessary.
12.
Work to ensure communication among team members during and between shifts.
13.
Familiarize self with policies and procedures.
14.
Gather information from resident, family, and providers and coordinate with team members.
15.
Complete monthly summaries, discussing the course of treatment.
16.
Complete discharge summaries upon treatment completion.
17.
Document continuity of care with community team partners and/or consultation opportunities.
18.
Develop therapy objectives for treatment plans and discuss changes with residents and families during family therapy sessions.
Make collaborative changes and update as necessary.
19.
Instruct, assist, and provide skill development regarding life skills, social skills, vocational skills, and leisure/recreation activities.
20.
Utilize treatment plan interventions to help residents meet treatment goals and objectives.
21.
Manage crisis situations and decisions related to appropriate involvement of outside individuals and support services with input from the team.
22.
Complete mental status exams daily and in crisis situations (MHP qualified).
23.
Ensure safety of residents through adherence to treatment program procedures.
24.
Interact professionally, cooperatively, and promptly with other team members in routine and crisis situations.
25.
Work with team members to create and contribute to a positive learning environment for all.
26.
Document all accidents, special treatment interventions/procedures, and extraordinary events.
27.
Report unsafe conditions and needed repairs to the Shift Supervisor, Program Manager, and/or Safety Officer.
28.
Actively seek and schedule clinical supervision and training.
29.
Utilize the chain of command to resolve conflicts effectively.
30.
Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
31.
Annual flu shot verification and willing to follow other measures as directed by Infection Control Manager,

Demonstrates diagnosing, engagement skills through use of relationships and application of motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention skills through a variety of clientele.
Ability to utilize consultation and feedback and utilizes training for professional development.
Demonstrates ethical decision-making skills and appropriate boundaries.
Ability to meet productivity requirements and consumers are discharged with improved symptoms as evidenced by client report and standardized measures.
Demonstrate empathy, hopefulness, and resourcefulness in communicating with others.
Promote whole health care as a key to people’s recovery and quality of life.
Qualifications:
All new hires will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Master’s Degree.
Two years’ experience in evaluation, case management, individual, group, and family therapy with children and families.
Experience in psychiatric residential treatment preferred.
MHP/CMHS qualified preferred.
WA State credential/license.
WA State License Preferred.
Current First-Aid/CPR certification.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, training, written, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
Skilled in MS Word and Outlook.
Satisfactorily complete computer assessment.
Valid WA State Driver’s License; proof of insurance.
Equipment/Machines Used: Basic office equipment to include, computer, fax, scanner, printer, tablet, copier and telephone.
Physical Requirements: Handle with Care ability.
Physical ability to be stationary and traverse in an office environment.
Physical mobility to travel within the community.
Occasional moving items up to 25 lbs.
Working Conditions: Inpatient milieu.
Usual office conditions, computer use, and outside interactions.
Environmental Conditions: Office environment; outside weather while working in the community.
