Systems Analyst I or II with Health Plans

This is a Contract position in Murray, UT posted December 21, 2021.

Overview

This is a local position, located in Murray, just 5 minutes south of Salt Lake City (SLC). We are open to hiring a level I or II candidate, based on experiecne, and the requirements to meet either level is listed below. Must be local or willing to relocate if not.

This team configures claims processing systems and uses the Tapestry module. Looking for an analytically minded individual. Top candidates may have prior system analysis, configuration, and/or scripting experience in a hospital or medical health care environment. Business Analyst backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. (Claims, Tapestry, and/or Epic experience preferred)

The incumbent is responsible for independently formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact finding to maintain and configure moderately complex information systems. The individual supports a variety of applications as well as interfacing between a broad spectrum of systems. This includes system configuration for health plan activities and internal, member and provider facing systems; implementing new functionality and testing to verify accuracy and completeness. This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, change, communications, and updates.

  • Performs system build and testing for software lifecycle activities. Ensures quality outcomes and assesses integrated impact.

  • Resolves incidents and trouble tickets according to agreed upon SLA’s and assigned timelines. Completes project tasks on time with quality outcomes.

  • Maintains and creates documentation as needed. Acts as a resource to end users and team members with regard to application utilization in context with workflow.

  • Performs the execution and update of test scripts, including unit, application and integrated test scripts.

  • Analyzes current workflows and processes for various departments to guide the build or implementation of system(s) features as well as optimization of the system(s).

  • Researches and analyzes technical feature requests. Independently completes system build and testing as defined. Participates in stakeholder review, implementation documentation and communication planning.

  • Flexibility in accepting assignments, including overtime activities.

  • Organizational and analytical skills, ability to prioritize.

  • Strong technical problem resolution skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform application build and testing for assigned applications.

Qualifications

Qualifications Level II Requirement:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalency.

Level I Requirement:

  • Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalency.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Experience or certification using or working with Epic Tapestry or other health insurance systems.

  • Experience in application analysis and unit/integration testing.

  • Experience in medical claims processing or in health insurance operational areas.
