POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse General performs the active nursing process consisting of the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients.
May assume the role as Team Leader for part or duration of shift.
Performs the functions of collaboration with physicians and personnel of other departments.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients served.
Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over life span and possesses ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret appropriate information needed to identify patient requirements relative to his/her age specific needs.
Provides care needed as described in department policies and procedures.
Qualifications EDUCATION: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing BSN preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Basic computer and hospital informatics skills required.
Specialty Certification where required; example: Chemotherapy; ACLS; PALS; CPR required Complies with hospital employee health, infection control and safety management programs EXPERIENCE: Current operating room experience in multiple specialties required Minimum of two years experience in acute care hospital or surgical center or minimum one semester as a Sunrise surgical services Nurse Apprentice LICENSURE: Current Nevada license to practice Nursing Independently maintains license Acquires required contact hours to maintain practice We offer you an excellent total compensation package, including competitive salary, excellent benefit package and growth opportunities.
