Overview
HonorHealth is a non-profit, local community healthcare system serving an area of 1.6 million people in the greater Phoenix area.

Responsibilities
Job Summary
This position provides clinical management, operational direction, and leadership for areas of responsibility.
Serves as the leader as it relates to daily operations, personnel supervision, physician relationships, driving quality initiatives and supply cost control.
Assists with the implementation of service line strategic plans, program development.
Responsible for hospital physician relationship/collaboration of performance metrics for the intensive model.
Provides leadership and guidance to leadership in advanced practice roles.
Serves as tactical point person as it relates to patient care, staff development, physician relationships, quality initiatives, program development, and system-wide success.
Assures evidence-based patient care by creating an environment that encourages the use of research in practice.
This position maintains a broad scope of responsibility spanning a minimum of two departments and 120 staff members.
All RN staff who have direct responsibility for the care of stroke patients must have knowledge of:
• Stroke symptoms and warning signs
• Protocols and pathways used to identify, evaluate and management of stroke patients
• NIHSS
• Stroke Alert activation and protocol
• Stroke quality indicators
• Available stroke patient education materials and community resources
• Educational requirements
• Stroke Center website resources
Fosters collaborative partnerships with medical staff, members of the organization, and community.
Uses evidence-based knowledge in decision making to improve and maintain high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
Develops a strategic plan for short and long range goals including material, fiscal, and human resources.
Identifies ways to strengthen the organization’s financial health.
Ensure compliance with all policies, financial stewardship by being accountable for the financial integrity around development and maintenance of department budget.
Promotes organizational climate of decision-making, autonomy and accountability.
Supports service line initiatives to assure organizational and operational service line goals are met.
Accountable for Implementation and management of organization policies and procedures as they relate to the delivery of services and advises Administrator/CNO on impact.
Modifies patient care delivery systems to enhance results.
Works closely with nursing leadership to evaluate, implement strategies to improve quality, decrease cost, increase efficiency, and improve patient experience.
Projects and plans for future program development, use of space, facilities and equipment for assigned areas.
Fosters collaborative relationships with schools of nursing and other external organizations.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited NLN institution Required
