This is a Full-time position in Austin, TX posted August 21, 2021.

Job Summary:: The Contractual Clinician provides assessment, triage, and treatment to individuals diagnosed with mental illnesses who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders and/or chronic health conditions.

Contractual Clinician may be subject to work extended hours and weekends, and to be on-call.#SWCREssential Functions::Conducts intakes and admissions to facilitate the access to services.Performs diagnostic evaluations and assessments of strengths, needs, functional impairments, symptoms at regular intervals to ensure services are individualized and appropriate to each individual’s level of care.In partnership and using the trauma informed care and recovery-based perspective Clinician creates and regularly reviews treatment plans to ensure services continue to be appropriate and optimal.Provides therapeutic treatment services and/or interventions such as, but not limited to; skills training, psychoeducation, psychotherapy (individual, family, and/or group), crisis services, linkages and referrals.Document in a timely, accurate and complete manner that meet and regulatory policies including, but not limited to, Southwest Key and Texas Medicaid.Adhere to all confidentiality laws, policies and regulations at all times.Submit claims in accordance to Medicaid/MCO’s process for services rendered to youth and families; following up on denied claims to ensure payment reimbursement is provided.Supports the establishment of a cohesive multi-systemic alliances among community stakeholders to assure that staffing, billing and interagency processes are working effectively and efficientlyAttend scheduled supervision meetings with immediate supervisorWith timely request Attend training, workshops and meetings.Be in good standing with the respective licensing board.Other Functions::Maintain open, consistent, and effective communication with program staff and supervisor.Maintain all required trainings and certifications.Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.Able to work weekends and evenings as required and/or neededQualifications and Requirements::Required:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree with specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related fields is required.Licensed in respective field (to include, but no limited to: LPC, LCSW, LMFT)Must obtain or be eligible to obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) and a Texas Provider Identifier (TPI).

Southwest Key will support in obtaining the NPI and the TPI.Must obtain professional liability insurance.Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license, registration and maintain state mandated car insurance.Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Word, Excel), variety of online database systems.Possess good verbal and writing skills.Clear background check from appropriate entity.Preferred:Two to three (2-3) years of training or experience.Experience working with community-based programs, treatment facilities and/or direct practical experience with children and family therapy.Bilingual in English/Spanish.Physical Demands::Must be able to obtain First Aid Certification (CPR).

Must be able to verify client’s whereabouts by driving, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Daily use of various office equipment required.

Bending, stooping, climbing up stairs and lifting up to 15 lbs.

Noise levels vary from mild to moderate.

This position may require extended periods of time in an automobile.
