DUTIES INCLUDE: Provide support and input into program planning, management, review, and oversight of specific Research and Development programs related to nuclear policy and technology assessment.
Support in the development, documentation, and communication of region-specific nuclear detection Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
Support in a flexible but formalized approach to collect human training data on the DTRIAC digital collection to support ASD development and analyses.
Support in execution of the project workflow(s); quality assurance and quality control of the project workflow(s); travel to DTRIAC or other locations for access to the IT systems supporting the project workflow(s), if remote access cannot be arranged; packaging of the project outputs for use by ASD; and delivery of a final report on the project Support the data management team consisting of digitization, digital imaging, documentation collections, multimedia, IT and systems administration personnel by providing: Services in the areas of expert scientific support and input into program planning, management, review, and oversight of specific Research and Development programs related to radiological/nuclear matters.
Develop authoritative analysis and reports related to the Adaptive Software Development (ASD) methodologies that are in place to develop tools to operate and maintain the data management system.
Conduct formal presentations and briefings within DTRA, other DoD components and agencies on capabilities, technical challenges, program, and policies related to Adaptive Software Development (ASD) data management, environment, analysis and projects; Information Analysis Center (IAC) V&V resources, and analysis and projects; declassification decisions; and national security information.
Provide input to the planning and conducting of major studies of extreme difficulty involving key DTRA, DoD national defense and DOE programs, national security policies, and regulatory requirements, to include relevant requirements, to provide findings and technical solutions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: At least ten (10) years’ relevant experience is preferred.
Experience and expertise in the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) field.
Experience supporting compliance with federal laws and executive orders .
Ability to effectively communicate and instruct both technical and non-technical audiences, from the individual to the senior official level, in conducting effective nuclear search operations.
Experience with nuclear weapons design and associated technology and radiological threats to impact the development of project requirements and engineering plans for information infrastructures.
Experience in the interpretation of both detection and spectroscopic nuclear data, and the operational recommendations that would accompany data declassification, analysis and interpretation.
Experience maintaining knowledge centers with classified and unclassified information is desired (media and document libraries).
Mastery Knowledge and experience associated with advanced concepts, principles, and theories of the physical sciences involving radiological/nuclear (R/N) detection and experience in the research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) of science and technology programs related to R/N detection, effects and defense measures.
May be required to travel.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in nuclear science or nuclear engineering; PhD in same field highly desired CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be a US citizen.
Must have a secret security clearance.
