Designated as a Level 1 Trauma Center and NJ’s first Pediatric Trauma Center, RWJUH is a national resource in its groundbreaking approaches to emergency preparedness.As our status and patient volume continue to grow, we are adding talent to our organization including Emergency Room NursesPosition Overview:Creates a climate for healing by planning and providing for the provision of traditional and individualized comfort measures.Serves as an advocate to patients and families by providing information and opportunities to participate in goal setting.Performs effectively in life threatening emergencies by identifying emergent situations, initiating appropriate interventions, and documenting outcomes.Demonstrates the ability to reset priorities according to the demands of the clinical situation.Accurately detects and documents significant changes in a patient’s physiological, psychological, cultural and spiritual condition and needs for nursing care based upon a detailed assessment reflective of each patient’s status.Demonstrates the ability to interpret and diagnose changes in patient’s condition, plan appropriate interventions to achieve expected outcomes, document changes, interventions and outcomes, with regard to the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit, i.E.

Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent adult and Geriatric.Anticipate problems that might arise in frequently occurring clinical situation.Collaborates well with physicians and other health care team members to determine appropriate interventions.Administers medications accurately and safely.Education/Experience Requirements:Active, valid NJ Registered Nurse license requiredBSN Required OR must be willing to sign 5 year agreementBLS requiredACLS requiredPALS requiredTNCC preferred2 years of ED/ Critical care/ Step down experience requiredRWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
