We are seeking a RN Senior Project Manager Clinical
– Quality Management And Medical Staff Services that will provide expert clinical project management leadership for the Oregon Region Quality Management and Medical Staff Services (ORQMMSS) using various methods to identify and implement innovative, breakthrough strategies across institutional and functional boundaries that result in significant and documented improvement in health care and service delivery.

Provides credible information to senior leadership for internal performance data, research, and external benchmarking to allow them to make informed critical decisions.

accountable for multiple large diverse and complex projects, obtaining measurable strategic objectives and goals.

Serves in mentorship role to Clinical Project Manager team members and functions in first-responder role to senior leadership in defining scope of project work and delegating when appropriate to other members of the team.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Support the Providence Health and Services Quality Strategic Priorities
– Oregon Region through specific project management
Apply all concepts of the nursing process, such as identification of disease, facilitation of healing, health promotion, illness prevention and patient care delivery, to each dedicated project
Provide focused project, as well as long term technical and strategic leadership support for Providence Health and Services Oregon in meeting ORQMMSS goals and objectives
Manage high priority projects with increased complexity, with strategic and focused intent and visibility
Identify key partners and team members for each approved project using predetermined selection criteria; leads, educates, and coaches team members through completion of assigned work
Achieve approved scope and goals based upon customer needs and impact
Define and implement process improvements on key initiatives that result in significant improvements in quality, reliability, and service delivery, increasing organizational effectiveness and/or increasing patient safety
Discover, gather, and analyze all pertinent information necessary to accomplish approved goals
Ensure that key metrics are defined developed and tracked, and that improvements increase the likelihood of a positive impact for each assignment
Coordinate and tracks the activities of multi-functional teams, including deliverables
Serve in mentorship role to ORQMMSS Clinical Project Management team
Guide teams to develop improvement plans to reduce process variation
Communicate approved plans, project status, and outcomes to senior leadership and appropriate personnel
Demonstrate understanding and utilizes tones, tools and behaviors that promote patient safety in highly reliable organizations
Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Current, unencumbered Oregon state RN license
Five (5) years of experience in project management, healthcare administration -OR
– clinical field
Five (5) years of acute care experience
Five (5) years of Progressive management experience
Experience incorporating process improvement methodologies into larger scale projects
Experience managing multiple projects with various time frames and requirements
Experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management Principles
Experience facilitating complex decision making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities
Demonstrated experience related to a wide variety of patient populations and care delivery models
Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with physicians, employees and all levels of leadership across the Oregon Region
Expertise with Project Management methodology based on Project Management Principles
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Master’s Degree -OR
– enrolled in a Masters level program
Certifications in process optimization such as Six Sigma, LEAN -OR
– other nationally recognized certifications
