Responsibilities
Job Summary:
This position oversees, administers, and documents all employee health regulatory requirements per standards.
Provides Employee Health services including new employee occupational health assessment, immunization review and administration, communicable disease post-exposure assessment, management, and counseling, and maintains employee health record maintenance.
Work requires the services of a Registered Nurse who, based on training and work experience, uses professional knowledge and judgment in performing health assessments, administering immunizations and TB screening, and providing communicable disease post-exposure management.
Essential Duties:
Performs new hire occupational health assessment through employee interviews to determine current occupational health status.
Creates and maintains employee health records, and tracks employee compliance.
Administers TB program and provides screening and surveillance as required by regulatory agencies.
Completes new employee immunization review and administers immunizations to meet Health Care Worker (HCW) requirements.
Provides post-exposure assessment, management, counseling, and follow-up for staff exposed to communicable disease and blood borne pathogens.
Provides consulting and education services regarding occupational health care issues, including follow-up action as appropriate.
Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience:
Associates degree in Nursing and four years of recent work experience in nursing, with a preference for two of those years in either employee health or infection control that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field is strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing is required.
Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
Current Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) through the Association of Occupational Health Professions is preferred.
Participation in the Association of Occupational Health Professionals (AOHP) is required.
