Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner � Adult Outpatient Northern Light Acadia Hospital seeks a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for our Adult Medication Management program.
Opportunity: The PMHNP is an independently licensed clinician who is responsible and accountable for the research-based knowledge, skills, and experience to assess, diagnose, treat, and provide psychiatric care for clients with psychiatric and substance use treatment needs.
��������Provides mental health treatment using psychotherapy, medication management, and other interventions ��������Consults with other healthcare providers ��������Provides direct patient care ��������Enhances the ability of others to provide healthcare� ��������Functions as a clinical leader, a resource and preceptor for other staff ��������Integral part of program development, guiding group decision-making, implementing plans, and improving quality of care.
��������Inpatient and Hospital Rounding call opportunities for additional compensation in adult and pediatrics ��������Supervised by a designated Psychiatrist ��������Ability to prescribe suboxone (X number -preferable or willing to obtain) �������� Schedule: 5 days per week, M-F excluding call needs (7-3, 8-4, 9-5, or 10-6) Northern Light Acadia Hospital is an acute care, regional psychiatric hospital in Bangor, Maine .� Acadia Hospital is a leader in the provision of tele-psychiatry services, including consultations to regional emergency departments and primary care practices.

Other available services include individual therapy, intensive outpatient treatment, ECT, ketamine, inpatient psychiatric treatment and an observation unit.
The hospital is the sole corporate member of Northern Light Acadia Healthcare that provides a substance use disorder treatment program, case management services, and other outpatient mental health services in Penobscot, Waldo, and Knox counties.
