Overview The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the systems architecture utilized by the IT Department to manage and maintain mobile device management systems and the Ticketing System.
The Systems Administrator will assist, direct, and work closely with the Mobile Device Administrator to maintain, troubleshoot, suggest improvements, and repair current systems architecture as needed.
Systems Administrator manages the daily activities of the Mobile Device Administrator and reports status updates on outstanding issues or needs to the IT Director and CIO.
Systems Administrator is responsible for coordinating, implementing, tracking and scheduling new technology device rollouts where it involves mobile devices and computing devices.
Working in a team IT environment, the Systems Administrator would also assist in developing solutions, contributing to Help Desk support activities and device deployments and replacements as needed.
Qualifications Minimum 5 yearsrsquo experience in Systems Administration.
Bachelorrsquos Degree in Computer Science is helpful but not required.
Situational thought processes and high level problem solving skills are paramount.
Proven history of creating environments that effect a resolution is key in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities Duties are determined by the Companyrsquos needs and may include, but are not limited to the following Systems Management and Administration of the Mobile Device Management Platforms.
Manages, works with, and assists the Mobile Device Administrator to maintain, support, troubleshoot, and optimize the mobile device software platforms and its related mobile devices.
Suggests adjustments and new system designs for future needs Work with the IT team to plan, design, develop, build, and deploy new MDM solutions Manages, suggest improvements, implements approved improvements, and maintains the Help Desk Ticketing System Directs and assists the Mobile Device Administrator with mobile device systems consultants for installations, deployments and troubleshooting of new mobile device systems as needed Administers, suggest improvements and maintains the device build processes Maintain existing spare device inventory and request replacements as needed Build and deploy device replacements as needed Assists with large projects that involves new facility builds and equipment refreshes as needed or directed by the IT Director and CIO Directly manages and assists with the day to day activities of the Mobile Device Administrator Provide telephone, email, and on-site problem diagnosis, analysis and resolution Be able to perform most of Mobile Device Administrators tasks and directly backup or fill in for the Mobile Device Administrator Research, assist, and resolve tickets from the end user community devices Performs all other duties as assigned Occasional Travel may be required
