Physician / New York / Locum or Permanent / COVID Swabber (CNA) Job

A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their staff as their new COVID Swabber.

In this role, the COVID Swabber (CNA) will be responsible for assisting students, teachers, staff, and families with mid-nasal swab collection for COVID-19 RT-PCR and Antigen testing.
Responsibilities:
The COVID Swabber (CNA) will be responsible for:
Reading protocols, retaining information, observing, and performing sample collection, rapid antigen testing and rapid PCR testing
Communicating results in a timely fashion to patients and the clinical lab team
Maintaining the field sites, including setup and takedown of non-permanent supplies and materials
Ensuring complete documentation and accurate sample labeling
Following SOPs precisely and documenting any deviations or complications with the testing process
Following proper CDC and social distancing guidelines: sanitize hands frequently; keeping areas and equipment clean; and proper use of PPE at all times
Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant (MA)
Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Experience with sample collection for clinical testing
Experience working with various database and EMR systems
Microsoft Office Suite proficient (Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Patient oriented
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Desired Skills:
Experience collecting mid-nasal swabs for COVID-19 testing
