SUMMARYOF RESPONSIBILITY
– Job Summary (general statement of purpose or objective of position) Under direct supervision from a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician: provides technical aspects of drug preparation, drug distribution, and drug charge control; assists the buyer in purchasing pharmaceuticals and supplies; maintains adequate stock levels; cross trains in other technical areas of the Pharmacy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
– Knowledge, skills, abilities, license, registration, certification, education, and experience EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE: No previous training or experience required.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: Current registration permit from the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy is required.National Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (CPhT) is preferred.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in a well-equipped, air-conditioned environment subject to continual interruptions from pharmacy, nursing, and physician staff members.
Exposures to potentially harmful chemotherapy, but protective measures and follow up treatmentis provided.”,
