Overview: We are looking for a dynamic RN leader to support our busy and fast paced Operating Rooms at Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville, MN.
We average over 10,000 surgical cases per year and our service lines include: Ortho, OB/GYN, Neurology, Urology, ENDO/GI, ENT, robotics, vascular, plastics and general surgery.
Responsibilities/Job Description: The Patient Care Supervisor:Assists in managing the day-to-day and shift-to-shift operationsSupervision of personnel in the department and projects as delegated.Hiring, discipline and performance evaluationsReview of daily surgical schedulePreference card assessment, review, and adjustment in conjunction with scheduling and team leadsActs as a role modelCollaborates with Nursing and Provider leadership to implement and evaluate standards of practice.Supports our patient experience initiativesAssist with charge nurse developmentDemonstrates skills/abilities in provision of patient care and directs patient careManaging new hire onboardingI-care review and follow up with unit staff and other departmentsCollects and analyzes quality data and utilizes process improvement methodology to insure delivery of safe and quality patient care.
Supports and leads unit initiatives related to patient experience, clinical practice, and employee engagementAttends Unit Practice CouncilsInvolvement with e-time (payroll) Qualifications: Required QualificationsBachelors Degree in Nursing.
If Bachelors is not in nursing, then must have a Masters degree in nursingMinnesota RN licenseBLS certification3 years clinical nursing experience in the operating roomPreferred QualificationsMasters degreeCNOR Certification5 years of RN work experience1 year leadership experience (charge nurse, supervisor, team lead, etc.)Experience using EPIC
