Opelousas General Health System: Nurse Recruiter

Full time position available to work on site. The Nurse Recruiter is responsible for staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates, managing candidates in an effective way throughout the interview process and negotiating the offers effectively. Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates. Source applicants through various methods including community career fairs, college, trade and high schools, recruitment firms, media, and internet sites; provides organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport. Confer with management to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting plans and strategies. Provide regular updates and feedback to managers. Manage applicant tracking system and pre-screen job candidates. Extend offers of employment within company procedures. Manage the job offer including negotiation and administration. Serves as an employee advocate for new hires as well as established employees. Develops strategies in retention efforts with current staff. Keeps informed of the current job market. Serves on various hospital committees. Performs other duties as assigned by the HR Officer.Additional Experience PreferredFamiliarity with relevant employment law required, Must possess excellent interpersonal skills,professionalism and ability to work in a team environment. Must support workplace diversity. Must be perceptive and possess effective networking, interviewing and negotiation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Nurse Recruiter QualificationsBachelors degree in Human Resources, Marketing or related field3 years recruitment experience required, healthcare recruitment preferred.Pursuant to OGHSs COVID-19 mitigation protocols, individuals must be fully vaccinated within 30 days of commencing employment, subject to legally required exemptions.
