Nursing Assistant – Caregiver

A NA’s primary responsibilities in our facility are to ensure patient comfort, thereby removing some of the burden shouldered by RNs and LPNs who provide more advanced care. A nursing assistant has a variety of tasks, some of which include:

• Clean and bathe patients
• Help patients use the toilet and dress
• Turn, reposition, and transfer patients between beds and wheelchairs
• Listen to and record patients’ health concerns and report that information to nurses
• Measure patients’ vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
• Serve meals and help patients eat
• Help patients to move around the facility, such as by pushing their wheelchairs
• Change linens

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Nursing Assistant in good standing and meet all applicable Federal and State certification requirements
• Basic patient care competency skills
• High school diploma or GED
