It is a great working environment that is just waiting to be led by someone like you!A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON)As the Director of Nursing (DON) you will work hand-in-hand with the administrator to maintain the efficiency and cohesion of the long-term care facility and nursing department.
While ensuring that the highest levels of care are provided at all times, you’re committed to the care and safety of our residents and strive to continuously exceed the bar that is set through the quality of care and customer service that you and your team provide.
In the absence of the administrator, the DON is responsible for overseeing the entire facility, while maintaining the quality of care and customer service all in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth at the local, state or federal levels.The DON is responsible for but not limited to overseeing the entire clinical team and ensuring excellent outcomes are met with minimal deficiencies.
Additionally, you’ll be expected to continuously strive towards increasing the facility’s clinical capabilities as well as increasing the level of acuities the facility can accept.THE IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON)The ideal candidate is a highly motivated team player, who is able to multitask, works well in stressful situations, and has a positive outlook.
