This is a Full-time position in Phoenix, AZ posted November 25, 2021.

Job Description Locations: Kingman, AZ LINES OF AUTHORITY: This position reports to the designated Clinical Director.

This position provides clinical supervision to Clinical Staff that provide outpatient services.

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides direct Clinical Supervision to all assigned therapists and case management staff.

Coordinates and collaborates with internal and external customers.

Promotes adherence to accepted clinical, operational and ethical standards as described in policy.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains oversight of client treatment and provision of covered services.

Develop and implement with the clinical team, site-based services to meet client needs adhering to clinic policy and Joint Commission (JC), Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and Regional Behavioral Health Authority standards as evidenced by data and chart auditing.

Implements program changes and monitors appropriate standards of care per policy.

May provide direct services at times, based on clinical and administrative need.

Manages service utilization and service value by monitoring staff productivity, caseloads, in actives and unassigned clients through review of monthly reports.

Data will demonstrate compliance or progress toward compliance.

Maintains appropriate staffing and communicates with HR regarding open positions as evidenced by open position lists and hire requests.

Provides Individual and Group clinical supervision in accordance with licensing standards.

Complete Supervision Documentation for all supervisory activities.

Audits a minimum of one chart per staff per month and reports to QM.

Facilitates the professional development of staff and monitors required training.

Recognizes staff accomplishments regularly.

Adheres to the progressive disciplinary process when necessary.

Evaluates each staff’s performance annually, completing competencies for each staff person.

Evidence of this function is documented in the HR personnel file.

Provides administrative support to on-call staff on a rotating basis.

Supports staff in clinic crisis response process during clinic hours and after hours.

Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new staff in conjunction with Clinical Directors and Human Resources.

Completes staff reassignment and hire requests.

Provides clinical orientation to new staff, completing the Skills and Knowledge Checklist.

Completes credentialing process of assessments and/or Child and Family Team Facilitation.

Facilitates the professional development of new hires and evaluates performance after the first six months of employment.

Documentation of these processes will be located in the HR personnel files.

Ensures personal and staff adherence to clinical and ethical standards per RBHA, State Funding agencies, CMS, and JC regulations, policies and procedures.

Models professional boundaries.

Follows policy and procedure in reporting a breach of ethics as evidenced by reports sent to the QM department.

Maintains adherence with the clinic personnel policy.

Participates in Clinical Leadership activities which operationalize ADHS, RBHA, JC and CMS standards.

Provide training on initiatives, policies, forms and programs as evidenced by training logs.

Collaborate with other clinical leaders to maintain a consistent service delivery system.

Participates in workgroups, committees or other team activities as evidenced by Meeting Minutes.

Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal customers.

Communicates and coordinates with other departments and services as indicated, such as IS, Medical Records, Data and Customer Service demonstrated by constructive problem resolution.

Develops and maintains effective working relationships with stakeholders and community resources as demonstrated by the development of working community relationships.

May attend community meetings, agency meetings or participate in other collaborative activities.

Maintains professional licensure and ongoing professional development.

Complies with all supervisory licensing standards.

Maintain CEU hours for licensure and for supervisor position.

Maintains current license.

Participate in the Performance Improvement in the Clinic.

Complete the supervisory review for Incident Reports and Client Complaints.

Participate in problem identification and resolution on a formal and informal basis.

Work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines: at all times demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Able to effectively de-escalate clients using techniques as trained and outlined in approved crisis intervention models.

PRIMARY CONTACTS: Frequent interaction with assigned staff.

Interfaces as needed with peers, clinical team members, and directors as well as internal/external customers.

Collaboration with community resources/referral agencies POSITION REQUISITES: Qualifications and Experiences: Required: Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health Field and currently licensed Behavioral health Professional Current driver’s license and proof of auto insurance to drive Clinic vehicles.

Ability to obtain an Arizona fingerprint clearance card.

At least two years’ therapy experience in a clinical setting.

Preferred: Supervisory experience.

Licensed at the independent level as a Behavioral Health Professional Prior experience working in a community mental health setting.

CPR and First Aid.

Knowledge of community resources and an understanding of managed care.

Familiarity with commonly used psychotropic drugs and their side effects.

Skills/Abilities: Required: Basic Skills Strong Interpersonal Skills Complex problem solving skills Technical skills with computer Resource Management Skills REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIAL POPULATIONS : Persons conducting assessments and/or providing treatment to special populations are able, through training and experience, as well as through agency-specific observation or testing of performance to: CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY Staff responsible for providing services to chemically dependent members have appropriate training, education, experience, performance and demonstrate competency.

Staff must be able to gather and assess information about: The relationship of each member’s physical status to the dependence.

The nature of the emotional compulsion to use alcohol and/or other drugs.

The intensity of the member’s preoccupation with using alcohol/and/or other drugs.

Staff must also demonstrate competency in their ability to: Interpret information about a member’s use of alcohol and/or other drugs.

Develop a written summary and/or treatment plan based on member’s problems and needs; Provide appropriate services.

CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS Staff responsible for providing services to child and adolescent members have appropriate training, education, experience, performance and demonstrate competency.

Staff demonstrate knowledge of growth and development of children and adolescents.

Staff demonstrate their ability to develop treatment plans and services based on member’s problem and needs.

Staff demonstrate knowledge and skill in working with family systems.

SERIOUSLY MENTALLY ILL Staff responsiblefor providing services to seriously mentally ill members have appropriate training, education, experience, performance and demonstrate competency.

Staff have knowledge and ability to gather and interpret information about seriously mentally ill members.

Staff understand the member’s needs and the range, intensity, and duration of care, habilitation and rehabilitation required.

INTELLECTUALLY DISABLED Staff responsible for providing services to members with intellectual disabilities have appropriate training, education, experience, performance and demonstrate competency.

Staff have knowledge and ability to gather and interpret information about a member with an intellectual disability.

Staff understand the member’s needs and the range, intensity, and duration of care, habilitation or rehabilitation required.

WORKING CONDITIONS : Physical requirements: Able to cope with emotional demands as they arise.

Able to sit for extended periods of time.

Able to hear ordinary conversation and phone communications.

Equipment: Computer, typewriter, printer, fax, copy machine and company vehicles.

Environmental conditions: Air conditioned and/or heated office setting.
