Includes intake, some case management, and group and individual therapies to adult population.

Mental Health Therapist II (Master’s): $22.00/hr
– $26.42/hr
LCSW/LPC/LMFT: $26.35/hr
– $31.59/hr
Spanish Differential

Emerson Street for Teens and Young Adults is an innovative, strengths-based, trauma-informed outpatient setting that pairs both clinical therapeutic services and vocational rehabilitation (education and employment support).

We are a multidisciplinary team that assists youth in working toward goals that support mental health and overall well-being.

Emerson Street for Teens and Young Adults provides a comprehensive program that offers prevention and early intervention activities as well as clinical, therapeutic, and wraparound services.

This position is also responsible for maintaining compliance to documentation standards for all work performed.

Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide diagnostic mental health assessments as well as individual, family, caregiver support and/or group psychotherapy along with crisis intervention and case management support to assigned people we serve.

Develop treatment plans, monitor treatment progress and follow-up as clinically indicated.

Facilitate the coordination of medication/medicinal needs of clients with psychiatric, case management, and medical resources.

Facilitate the persons we serve and support systems’ growth and development with an emphasis on strengths and resiliency.

Collaborate with internal and external partners in support of the person’s growth and development.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with agency standards.

Participate in team meetings, in-services and supervisory sessions as required.

Coordinate with other members of the treatment team, including supported education, supported employment and psychiatric staff.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, or similar field.

Current license as a LCSW/LPC/LMFT in the State of Colorado preferred.
EXPERIENCE: One year experience in mental health or human services preferred.

At least one year of experience working with adolescents and/or young adults strongly preferred.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy, and ability to utilize and/or develop knowledge of evidenced-based practices.

Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.

Clinical assessment and diagnostic skills utilizing the DSM
– 5.

Must have a clear understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality, personal boundaries and be self-assured in a variety of situations.

The ability to focus on what people can do, not on what they can’t do.

The ability to partner with the people we serve and their support systems to work alongside them as they shape their treatment.

Ability to navigate an electronic medical record and utilize technology effectively.

The ability to laugh with others and have a sense of humor.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Good time-management for managing appointments in the community and for timely documentation in the EHR Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care principles/practices.

Bilingual Spanish preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach, drive, operate standard office equipment such as phone, computer, facsimile, copier/printer, and other business machines.

Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:
Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.

Must understand people from all walks of life and be able to communicate effectively with them.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
May require occasional evening, weekend or on-call hours.
