Medical Laboratory Scientist II, Morristown Medical Center

Overview: Alantic Health System is currently seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II for Morristown Medical Center in the Core Lab to work the 7am
– 3pm shift five days per week including every third weekend.

Responsibilities: Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position:Perform testing in the laboratory and report results according to SOPOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipmentPerform quality control tasks and maintain laboratory documentation according to SOPMaintain and manage laboratory inventoryProvide laboratory information to others on the patient care teamMaintain competencies and continuing education.

Qualifications: Minimum Education Required:Associates degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution with Medical Laboratory experience or Bachelors degree preferredForeign graduates require equivalency evaluation documentationASCP or equivalent certification preferred.Minimum Experience Required:Previous laboratory experience preferred, but not necessary; new graduates welcome.
