POSITION SUMMARY The Verification Specialists is responsible for insurance verification for all upcoming patient appointments. May operate a single or multiple position telephone switchboard.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Performing insurance verification for effective insurance coverage, along with detailed allergy & immunology benefits as needed, for ALL upcoming appointments, via telephone or web portal.Completing verification profile form and scanning form into Care Cloud.Updating patient demographics & insurance profiles to correspond to benefit information obtained.Create new patient packets for upcoming appointments.Print encounter forms for upcoming appointments.Add any copays or balances owed to appointment encounter form.Check for active valid referrals, request when missing or expired.Check referring provider profile is current according to referral.Answering, assisting, and directing incoming telephone calls to appropriate parties in a professional and courteous manner Providing administrative support when needed Performing other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Two years of reception experience (or equivalent customer related ability) Prior administrative office experienceProficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPointExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent customer relationship skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: $12.00 – $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:All interviews will be conducted in-person, masks are required.Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
