The MA IV works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA IV is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II and MA III roles. Additionally, the MA IV serves in a leader role or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic

In this position you will:

• Must serve as a lead by supporting clinical management in the clinic’s daily operations, quality, and workflow efficiency and/or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic
• Delivers upon the service expectations of both patients and fellow team members by listening to their needs; engaging in positive interactions; and following through on promises made in a thoughtful, efficient, timely and courteous manner so that their total outcome is better than expected
• Operates as a fully competent MA performing all job functions timely, efficiently and effectively utilizing knowledge of medical assistant training and skills, and has reached competency in advanced procedures for the Clinic/locations supported
• As appropriate, has validated competencies in high-risk and/or advanced procedures needing specialized expertise in multiple clinical areas
• Performs all duties and passed competency testing/evaluation as required for a Medical Assistant I, Medical Assistant Il, and Medical Assistant III

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for a National Certification exam
• Active MA-C in state of WA AND active national certification/registration by AMCA, AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or NAHP as a Medical Assistant
• Current BLS – Must be AHA accredited
• Three (3) years medical assisting experience in a clinic setting
• Three (3) experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion
• Six (6) months working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years, OR 18 months experience in a Lead MA role in a clinical setting in lieu of

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor’s Degree
