Previous hospital experience preferred.

Additional qualifications Should be familiar with The Joint Commission standards and requirements.

Understanding of computers.

Good verbal and written communication skills required.

Should be familiar with risks associated with exposure to infectious patients, needle puncture hazards, and hazards related to compressed gases.License or certification All Respiratory Therapists will hold the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential prior to their first day of employment.

Respiratory Therapists are required to maintain Basic Life Support or the equivalent as determined by the site of hire.Exemption status Non-exemptCompensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
