Massage Therapist – Sahra Spa

As a Massage Therapist at Sahra Spa, Salon & Hammam, you will create a welcoming atmosphere that frees guests from the habitual hassles and commonplace concerns of a busy day.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide consistent, professional massage and body treatments to guests following spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
Provide exceptional service to guest and employees.
Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.
Effectively inform and educate guests about specific wellness recommendations.
Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
Perform preparation work, properly clean and restock room as required.
Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail.
Report any safety hazards to the Lead or Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
Licensed in the state of Nevada for Therapeutic Massage.
Completes annual CEU credits as required by the Nevada Massage Therapist Board.
At least two years of previous experience in professional massage.
Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
Excellent customer service skills.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Polished appearance and demeanor.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
At least 18 years of age.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a large, luxury resort spa setting.
Previous experience working with Forbes and/or AAA service standards.
Working knowledge of spa booking system.
Basic skills and knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Must be tolerant to varying temperature, illumination and air quality.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.
A casino environment typically allows smoking.
Prolonged standing and mobility; climb stairs.
Bending and reaching.
Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to grasp, use repetitive hand motion, finger dexterity.
Eye/hand coordination.
Use of standard office equipment.
Basic math.
Ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
Ability to and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
