Job Description:
Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing prctice and regulations and as directed by the Director of Nursing
Responsibilities:
Perform all preventive skin care, dressing changes and wound care.
Monitor the treatment of decubitus ulcers with appropriate and communication to physician and family.
Make rounds with physician, as needed, to discuss the care of residents who are currently receiving decubitus or catheter care.
follow facility policies and procedures for assessment, treatment, and documentation of skin problems.
Document pressure sore status weekly or more often as condition changes Requirements/Qualifications:
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with current state license.
Minimum of 1 to 3 years related nursing experience Must have a current/active CPR certification Demonstrated basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills
