Position Summary:
The LPN Staff is responsible for professional nursing services and non-professional services according to established standards, policies, and procedures. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

Essential Functions:
The LPN Staff responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Contributes to the comprehensive assessment/reassessment of patients
* Uses the nursing process in assessing planning, intervening, and evaluating to meet individual patient needs and education
* Contributes to the care plan and implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions
* Utilizes computer systems, implements safety precautions, reports any suspected abuse and refers patient/family to appropriate health or social resources
Accountability:
The LPN Staff reports to the assigned department Team Leader(s), Clinical Director and the Chief Nursing Officer-Assistant Vice President.
Required Physical Demands (Subject to Reasonable Accommodation):
Keyboarding/Dexterity: Occasionally; activity exists up to 1/3 of the time
Standing/Walking: Constantly; activity exits up to 2/3 of the time
Strength (Lift/Carry/Push/Pull): Medium (Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects)
Talking (Must be able to effectively communicate verbally): Yes

Environmental Conditions:
Job conditions may require moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections, communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment and chemicals. Potential for bodily injury related to job duties and/or incidents of workplace violence. The LPN Staff may be exposed to constant interruptions, noise and disagreeable odors. Requirement to float to other nursing units may occur.

Qualifications:
* Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state
* Validation of competency in medication and administration required
* Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).
