We are looking for a Staff Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team in Albuquerque, NM.

This PRN job is located at Lovelace Regional Hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, intensive care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, surgical services and birthing services for Roswell and the surrounding community.

Lovelace’s presence in Roswell also includes a primary and specialty care clinic to allow us to better serve the residents of southeast New Mexico.

Staff Pharmacist Job Responsibilities: Responsible for educating healthcare professionals and patients on medication use compounding and dispensing prescribed medications for patient care.

Performs professional and technical activities associated with the distribution of medications, the maintenance of drug inventory, patient records and patient financial records.

Supervises interns and technicians for assigned area.

Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Staff Pharmacist Education and Experience Requirements Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.

Minimum: No experience required.

Desired: One (1) year pharmacist experience.

Ability to communicate effectively; Knowledge of pharmacy operational systems which may include unit dose distribution, IV admixture, QA, DUR, Pharmacy computer systems, and automated drug dispensing equipment Current License to practice Pharmacy in the State of NM HOSPITAL BASED DESIRED: IV Certification or must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire.
