Responsible for the daily operations of the transfer center and is consulted regarding all direct/indirect transfer center issues.
Responsible for the strategy, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of the functions within the transfer center and retains 24-hour accountability.
Works with the Department Director to develop and revise departmental policy & procedure.
Collaborateswith other leaders and caregivers to plan, monitor, implement and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of patient transfers.
Acts as a liaison to promote specific services to internal and external customers.
Continuously monitors department to ensure optimal functioning leading to quality customer service and patient transfer outcomes.
Develops and monitors department budget with Department Director.

All applicants will receive consideration regardless of membership in any protected status as defined by applicable state or federal law, including protected veteran or disability status.Essential Functions:The RN Manager Transfer Center responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:* Assures compliance with any an appropriate regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards for nursing as well as EMTALA, HIPAA, etc)* Responsible for guideline review, revision and upgrades required to maintain an up to date EMR.* Develops and interprets policies, standards, and regulations to nursing personnel.* Makes independent decisions when there are not established policies, routines, or regulations to meet the situation or circumstances and collaborates with the Department Director, as well as IH hospital leaders when appropriate.* Identifies areas where improved processes, utilizing call center resources and technology, will enhance INTEGRIS operations.* Focuses on the clinical applications and capabilities of the Transfer Center as it pertains to patient movement in between, into, and out of Integris Health.* Supervises the training and orientation of new and existing employees, including educational requirements and suggestions set forth by various regulatory, accrediting, and professional organizations as well as hires, evaluates, schedules and disciplines department employees.* Collaborates with Department Director in developing and implementing departmental strategic plans, performance improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and cost management projects.
Tracks and monitors the gathering of criteria and provides reports, as requested.* Takes a leadership role in the development of services and standards for the Transfer Center, quality control, staff education, enhancements and maintenance activities.* Ensures department employees meet agency and regulatory requirements for training, licensure and certification.* Determines resource requirements to ensure appropriate staffing of the Transfer Center.
Fills in for staff shortages as necessary to maintain functional operations of the transfer center.* Responsible for patient safety and risk management of the department, e.G., identifies high-risk situations and initiates the problem-solving process with the involvement of the team and other necessary stakeholders.* Serves as a consultant for all direct/indirect patient care issues as it relates to the Transfer Center.

Long and irregular hours required.All applicants will receive consideration regardless of membership in any protected status as defined by applicable state or federal law, including protected veteran or disability status.* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state* Associate degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s preferred* 2 years nursing experience required with ER, ICU, previous transfer center preferred* Experience in pre-hospital transport preferred* 2 years experience in a supervisory role preferred* ACLS, NRP or PALS preferred* Must be able to communicate in English (Verbal/Written)
