In our program, we will bring you into our two-week classroom training at no additional cost you.
As a part of this training, you will also complete your ventilator management certification and earn additional CEUs.Once nurses show mastery with basic required skills, they will begin the precepting process in order to begin taking on their own patient cases and providing care.
Behind you is a 24/7 support team to include the Assistant Director of Clinical Services and On-Call Nurse Manager.*Duties & Responsibilities (What you are actually going to be doing): ** We’re not sure exactly how to say this, but generally speaking, we want you to enjoy your work and do good.* Make our patients’ day.
Seriously, we love our patients and we want them to look forward to your visit.* Follows all company policies and protocols in the normal course of business.* Sound medical decision-making abilities.* Traveling to patients’ homes and managing their care plans according to physicians’ instructions.* Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing medication and vital signs.* Administer Physician-prescribed medication or protocols (i.E.
ventilator).* Dress or redress wounds and assess the healing progress.* Provide education to patients and families on proper home health care procedures and strategies* Coordinate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other individuals in the patient’s care plan* Keep the patient comfortable through care.* Recommend tools or devices that may improve the quality of life for the patient.* Testing for muscle weakness, bedsores, and any signs of infection.* Listening to the concerns of family members and answering their questions.* Educating caregivers and family on the aftercare or ongoing care of the patient.* Providing suggestions for improved healthcare to physicians and family members of the patient.* Monitoring patient progress and compiling reports for the physician.* Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence.* Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.* Maintains timely and accurate records in and adheres to all HIPAA protocols.* Be awesome!*Qualifications** Active state license (RN or LPN) in good standing or in progress.* Team player, we really, REALLY mean this!
