We strive to build meaningful careers at a company whose values we share because when we live up to our potential, we help others live up to theirs.Responsibilities:Provide management expertise and tactical implementation of bioinformatics analyses both for target diseases, drugs in development and on market, epidemiology, patient journey and biomarker/comorbidity interrogation in collaboration with other functions, such as R& D, Medical Directors, Medical Information, and Publications/Data Analysis teams.
Drive the creation of statistical models to investigate challenges unique to each clinical trial or data setPartners with key business and medical affairs personnel to develop strategic analyses on projects of interestWork in technical teams to develop, deploy, and apply analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics to answer medical questions on diseases and drug efficacy and safety.Develop bioinformatic analysis plans and experimental designs to answer questions generated by the analytics and publication teams.Determine criteria that are most important for defining a patient cohort and formalize it using standard coding schemes for clinical data.Work with stakeholders to identify, analyze and interpret data relevant to clinical questions and needs, and provide consultative assistance via written, oral, or in-person presentation methods.Develop data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence and/or data modeling plans to support projects and programs.Develop and/or translate algorithms to investigate commercially available medical and pharmaceutical databases.Implement networks to provide automation of clinical information using one or more of medical images, claims datasets, electronic medical records, and NDA clinical reports.Develop and/or use algorithms and statistical predictive models and to determine analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes.
Apply analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, using advanced statistical techniques such as predictive statistical models, customer profiling, segmentation analysis, survey design and analysis, and data mining.Analyze data, apply common data science solutions, and build prototypes to enable development of high-performance algorithms in scalable, product-ready codeApply machine learning techniques to validate assumptions and predict future behaviorActs as a bioinformatics leader in the assigned projects and provides appropriate and effective support.Ensures adherence to federal regulations and applicable local regulations, Good Clinical Practices, ICH Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and to functional quality standards.Prepares reports and gives presentation on findings and suggests further analytic plans to better define and clarify results.Interpret analysis results appropriately and explain them accurately and clearly to project members.Qualifications and Skills Required:Advanced Degree (PhD preferred) in statistics, mathematics, analytics, bioinformatics, data mining or science or equivalent field with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience.Strong familiarity with clinical data coding systems and/or computer-based clinical search tools and data analytics.Required Skills include analytic analysis of Healthcare Data, Real World Data, Clinical Coding Systems, previous experience with EMR, claims data.Demonstrated skill in the use of one or more analytic software tools or languages (e.G., SAS, SPSS, R, Python)Demonstrated skill at data cleansing, data quality assessment, and using analytics for data assessmentDemonstrated skill in the use of applied analytics, descriptive statistics, and predictive analytics on industrial/insurance datasetsIntermediate proficiency with visualization tools like Spotfire, Tableau or equivalentExperience with git technologies, Python, SQL scripting and automation tools.
