We are building a new kind of ML processor that will define the next generation of compute hardware.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues from other disciplines (e.G.
optics, materials science, mixed signal design, digital IC design) on the design and implementation of novel optoelectronic hardware.Areas of contributionDrive and execute design quality and convergence for digital ASIC from RTL to GDSResponsible for floor planning, PNR, timing closure, STA, formal verification, low power design and clock distributionClose sign-off checks, interface with industry foundries and GDS deliveryWork extensively with cross functional teams to guide architecture with physical design constraintsEstablish tool flows and drive vendors to achieve milestonesTechnical leadership for physical design methodologies and potential junior engineersRequirements for this roleB.S., MS, or PhD in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent knowledge.Industry tape-out experienceBroad range of experience in all stages and areas of physical designExpert level user of EDA tools, ICC2 + surrounding tools or Cadence equivalentExtensive Perl/Tcl scripting experienceUnderstanding of deep sub-micron design issues and solutionsNice-to-havesPrevious ownership in setting up physical design tool flow from scratchExperience in mixed signal physical designExperience with DFx architecture and implementationYou’ll do well here if…You’re motivated to build something that hasn’t been built beforeYou’re kind, enjoy thoughtful discussions fueled by problem-solving and logic, and care about our mission to positively influence the trajectory of artificial intelligenceYou find large challenges exciting and enjoy discovering and defining problems as much as solving them.You deliver.
