Responsibilities/Job Description:The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s).

The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.

The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.Responsibilities:Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.Develops an individualized nursing plan of care.Implements nursing interventions based on the plan of care.Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.Uses communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, carepathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.Promotes an environment supportive of the health and wellbeing of patients, families as well as caregiversDemonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.Qualifications:Required:Current MN RN LicenseCurrent BLS must be current and from American Red Cross or American Heart AssociationTwo years of RN experience in a Med/Surg, Emergency Room, Critical Care or Radiology environment.Requires ability to provide written validation of current ACLS competency or ability to obtain written validation within 6 months of hire based on employee’s role.Preferred:BSN
