– Non Critical Care*Department:* Emergency Room*Shift: *POSITION SUMMARY (includes, but is not limited to):The Registered Nurse as an Emergency Room Nurse performs the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients.

Meets Standards of Care and Standards of Practice.

Supervises assigned personnel.

Promotes collaboration with physicians and personnel of other departments.

Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients served.

Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over life span and possesses ability to assess patient requirements relative to his/her age specific needs.

Provides care needed as described in department policies and procedure.

BSN Preferred, AACN National Certification Preferred, Attend Trauma Informed Care course as directed by Manager/Director.*_License/Certifications: _* * Current Nevada Registered Nurse License * Valid CPR (American Heart Association or Hospital approved CPR course) required * BLS * ACLS (Cardiac Med/Surg Unit) * ONS (certification) required within 6 months of hire, transfer and/or currently in position (Oncology only) * Completes a competency skills checklist within 90 days of employment * Management of Aggressive Behavior/De-escalation Techniques course (5 Neuro only
