Job Description deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an Engineer/Physicist in Melbourne, FL.
Position Description: Perform research and development to support nuclear treaty monitoring in support of AFTAC mission requirements.
Activities will include research, requirements generation, system design, and test and evaluation as required.
Apply theoretical and practical knowledge of various phenomenology’s, analysis techniques, geographic information systems (GIS), and remote sensing for the AFTAC customer.
Provide a working knowledge of physics and systems tools to accomplish mission parameters.
Demonstrated understanding in areas of radar, optics, lasers, electromagnetic pulse as well as techniques applicable to integration of electro-optical, infrared, electromagnetic, and radio frequency (RF) sensors using ground-based, airborne and space-based collection platforms.
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Physics; Master’s Degree or PhD in a related technical field is desirable.
Experience Requirements: 5-8 years in DoD, with AFTAC experience Applicant selected must possess an active Top Secret security clearance.
TS/SCI preferred.
Must be a U.S.
Citizen.
Minimal travel may be required.
