Promotes and supports the mission of Aspire Health Alliance to provide quality care to our clients, their families, and our served communities in conjunction with our clinical partners. Under the direction of Chief Operating Officer, overall responsibility for the effective operations of the integrated behavioral health services and the multi-disciplinary team to provide a full continuum of care. Oversight of current embedded Emergency Service Team, South Shore Health Bridge Clinic and the development of new integrated programs. Responsible for the effective development and implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Organization and Program. Supervises (directly or indirectly) Aspire Health Alliance clinical positions including ESP and Bridge Clinic staff.

  • Help shape and articulate the division’s long range strategic direction and short term priorities including quality initiatives
  • Identify the best strategies and tactics to accomplish the division’s priorities and advance the field and mission.
  • Ensure that the division programming is focused on evidence based practice, impact and results
  • Collaborates regularly with South Shore Health and other community medical leadership to ensure full integration of BH/Medical.
  • Oversees the emergency service team in the South Shore Hospital setting – ensuring that the team is following clinical and documentation best practice and all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains regular communication with the Aspire ESP Program Director and the COO to ensure smooth transitions, communication, and collaboration between teams.
  • Maintains communication with MBHP to ensure all parts of contract are being followed
  • Provides clinical and administrative oversight, along with the MD and NP, at the Substance Use Bridge Clinic to the Behavioral Health clinicians
  • Assess educational need for programs and staff; works with Aspire Health Alliance and South Shore Health training resources to develop, implement, and evaluate effectiveness of trainings
  • In conjunction with COO, will integrate into South Shore Hospital and assess clinical integration needs and opportunities within both organizations
  • Serves as a lead clinical and systems problem solver within on contracted BH integration/services.
  • Develops, implements and monitors quality initiatives and metrics for all integrated programs
  • Provides direct supervision for all Aspire behavioral health program managers in system
  • Defines areas of quality and risk for the program-
  • Provides fiscal management and oversight of program
  • Creates, motivates and maintains a diverse work staff that is a high performance team by working with other senior leaders to recruit, retain, educate and develop the staff.
  • Works with the licensing entities and payers to ensure that standards are met and exceeded
  • Works with other Divisional Directors to ensure a continuum of services is delivered to all clients.
  • Operates as part of a senior leadership team that works within a strategic path for the organization.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends with the division’s policy areas including staying routinely reviewing BH literature and new advances in service delivery, recommending changes to existing practices and developing proposals for new programs and services.
  • Initiate, develop and implement new and/or expanded programs using evidenced based practices.

Required Skills

  • Must show strong leadership skills and have an ability to balance administrative needs with staff concerns
  • Must demonstrate ability to work effectively and respectfully with staff, interns, individuals, and referring agencies
  • Must demonstrate an ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as a member of the outpatient management team
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail required
  • Strong presentation and training skills
  • Demonstrated clinical experience across the lifespan
  • Demonstrated knowledge and referral to continuum of Aspire Health Alliance Services
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge and referral to other community behavioral health resources for clients and families

Required Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other mental health discipline
  • Independent Licensure required
  • Education and Training in working with clients through the lifespan
  • Five-seven years of previous clinical and administrative experience overseeing behavioral health programs in progressive management roles
  • Demonstrated success with program development of behavioral health programs both internally and externally
  • Experience with managing and providing clinical services to children, adolescents, and families
