Director, Healthcare Compliance The Director of Healthcare Compliance will be responsible for guiding and supporting compliance-related matters on the federal and state level while leading a team of 10.
Responsibilities Ownership and maintenance of all compliance policies including the interpretation and application of the Anti-Kickback Statute.
Plan and lead annual risk assessments in conjunction with annual policy reviews and development timelines.
Oversee the development as well as the implementation of compliance related communication and training.
Revise policies and collaborate with compliance members to ensure the proper development, execution and maintenance of policies and procedures.
Policies can include but are not limited to, referral source agreements, transactions, leases, payment monitoring, medical director agreements and personal services agreements.
Design the annual audit plan in partnership with the audit team.
Partner with legal counsel, IT, Finance and other necessary teams to develop new guidance and identify and resolve all compliance matters.
Serve as a Chairperson on the Clinical Compliance Committees.
Project management ownership and collaboration with various departments to include, leadership over multiple compliance project, creation of project plans and the tracking and reporting of project deadlines, milestones and status.
Qualifications Bachelorrsquos Degree in related field required.
Advanced degree (JD, MBA, CPA etc), highly preferred.
8 years of experience as a legal or compliance professional specifically working with the development and sustainment of compliance programs.
Experience in the Healthcare industry with working knowledge of health care fraud and abuse regulations, required.
Experience leading a team including the performance and talent management.
Ability to communicate to all levels of business including executive management and field employees.
Prior experience working under or advising health care providers, or clients related to CIADPA or related regulatory oversight, a plus.
