The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse will work for one of Southern California’s premier hospitals. With numerous healthcare awards under their belt, this medical center is well known throughout the area as a top provider of quality patient care.
Under the supervision of the ICU Charge Nurse and reporting the ICU Nurse Manager, the Critical Care Staff Nurse will work with a group of hardworking, intelligent, and dedicated healthcare professionals. The Intensive Care Unit at this medical center prides itself as being a leader when it comes to collaboration and teamwork. This medical center and ICU are big advocates for employee education, which is why they provide multiple opportunities for nurses to improve their clinical knowledge and skill set. This includes helping ICU Nurses obtain their Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
Utilizing the nursing process, you will care for a diverse set of critically ill patients. The ICU Registered Nurse should possess strong skills and knowledge regarding mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, treatment of hemodynamic instability, interpretation and treatment of abnormal lab values, and treatment of underlying disease processes. Highly effective communication and critical thinking skills along with the ability to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team will enable the Critical Care Staff Nurse to perform their job duties to their best ability.

This job requires a strong healthcare professional with previous critical care experience. A current, unrestricted RN license is required as is a desire to learn and educate others.
