CR PHYSICIANS POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: LCSW / PSYCHOLOGIST/COUNSELOR POSITION REPORTS TO (TITLE): CMW MANAGER DEPT: MENTAL WELLNESS ENTITY: CAPITAL REGION MEDICAL CENTER POSITION PURPOSE: PROVIDES DIRECT CLINICAL SERVICES INCLUDING CLIENT ASSESSMENT, BRIEF COUNSELING, THERAPY, CASE CONSULTATION, REFERRAL AND FOLLOW-UP.
PROVIDES OVERSIGHT AND DIRECTION FOR PHYSICIAN HEALTH PROGRAM.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE JOB: SERVES AS A MENTAL WELLNESS LIAISON.
CONSULTS WITH PHYSICIANS AND OTHER MEDICAL PERSONNEL WHO ARE PART OF A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY TEAM TO DEVELOP OPTIMAL TREATMENT PLANS FOR COORDINATION OF CARE.
PLANS AND PARTICIPATES IN THE ONGOING STAFF DEVELOPMENT OF IN-SERVICES ESTABLISHED DEPARTMENTAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, OBJECTIVES, QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL AND INFECTION CONTROL STANDARDS.
DEVELOPS AND DELIVERS PROFESSIONAL CONTINUING EDUCATION SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS TO THE COMMUNITY.
ATTENDS MEETINGS AS REQUIRED AND PARTICIPATES IN PEER REVIEW CONSULTATIONS.
PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED OR REQUESTED BY ADMINISTRATION OR BY THE MANAGER OF MENTAL WELLNESS.
ASSISTS IN COVERING EAP PATIENTS AND PRESENTATIONS PROVIDED TO COMPANIES.
PROMOTES QUALITY PATIENT CARE.
ASSESS PATIENT NEEDS THROUGH CLINICAL INTERVIEW AND DESIGNS/IMPLEMENTS TREATMENT PLANS, INCLUDING INDIVIDUAL, GROUP AND/OR FAMILY PSYCHOTHERAPY.
EVALUATES AND DOCUMENTS PATIENT PROGRESS WHILE MEETING CERTAIN QUALITY MEASURES.
MAINTAINS CURRENT KNOWLEDGE OF PROCEDURES, EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES NECESSARY FOR TREATMENT.
ENHANCES PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN EVIDENCE-BASED TREATMENT AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, CURRENT LITERATURE, IN-SERVICE MEETINGS AND WORKSHOPS.
MAINTAINS CLINICAL LICENSURE.
PROVIDES OVERSIGHT AND DIRECTION FOR PHYSICIAN HEALTH PROGRAM.
PROVIDES, OR SUPPORTS CLINICALLY-BASED HEALTH SERVICES FOR PHYSICIANS, ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND MEDICAL STUDENTS WITH POTENTIALLY IMPAIRING HEALTH CONDITIONS.
INDIVIDUALIZED CASE MANAGEMENT FOR PHP PARTICIPANTS.
ADVOCATES AND SUPPORTS PARTICIPANTS BEFORE STATE MEDICAL BOARDS AND OTHER AGENCIES.
ENCOURAGES AND/OR CONDUCTS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO HOSPITALS AND MEDICAL SCHOOLS.
DOCUMENTS RECOVERY/DISEASE STABILITY AND PROVIDES REFERRALS AS NECESSARY.
STAY ABREAST OF DEVELOPMENTS IN THE FIELD OF PHYSICIAN HEALTH.
